My role within Burgis & Bullock is to develop close working relationships with new and existing business owners and to help them with various issues such as business start-ups, growth strategies and financial management.
I really enjoy working with a wide client base of owner-managed and family businesses, including many town centre retailers. I’m also keen to promote and support local businesses wherever possible and I feel that my role as Treasurer enables me to gain a clearer understanding of the many issues and opportunities that they are currently dealing with.

Alex Toft is currently a Business Growth Advisor with the University of Warwick, helping high growth SME’s develop further and access finance. He comes to us with a background in commercial, Board and international roles with blue chip companies the likes of Unilever, ICI, INEOS and the NHS. He’s lived and worked in Brazil and Indonesia and made several appearances on the BBC and ITV.
His association with Leamington Spa started as a former Director of Operation for the Air Ambulance Service and was instrumental in launching the UK’s first dedicated Children’s Air Ambulance in addition to his regular duties of looking after the Warwickshire Region. His academic qualifications range from science to law, recently receiving from the University of Liverpool their Pott’s Medal for his role in the development of science. A founder of a biotech built around the drug he invented, a former honorary senior lecturer in Clinical Medicine, he’s now using his skills in the Chamber to support local business in Leamington Spa and is connected with The Leamington Wine Company which adds to his personal interest in our local issues.
Senior Partner at Spa Computer Centre, a family run computer business established in 1982. Parminder joined the Chamber in 1992 and after chairing various sub committees was elected Chairman in 2006. He served on the Executive Committee for the Town Centre Management Initiative and was a founding board member of BID Leamington's interim committee.
Parminder was also Chairman of British Asian Business and Professionals Association, Trustee of Norton Foundation and is now a serving Independent Town Councillor and Town Mayor of Whitnash.
