    Tribute to Gerry McManus

It is with great sadness that the Royal Leamington Spa Chamber of Trade announces the passing of Gerry McManus, Centre Manager for Royal Priors. Gerry passed away on Monday (September 11, 2017) following a short illness. He was 53 years-old and is survived by his wife and two children.

Gerry was a stalwart voluntary member of the Leamington Chamber Exec team and contributed greatly to the town’s well being for many years. As well as being a past Chair of the Chamber, Gerry’s significant involvement will be sorely missed in the Safer Neighbourhoods Forum, Town Centre Strategy Forum and Town Centre Management Partnership.

Gerry was a larger than life character who lent his time unstintingly to aid the town’s prosperity. He was extremely well-liked in the Chamber for his ability to support local issues with strength, honesty and good humour – Maxine Howe

Despite all the responsibility and stress of the job, he always seemed to have time for everyone and that is indeed a precious thing – Alan Heap

Such a lovely, lovely genuine man who will be greatly missed by us all – Julie McGarrigle

The Chamber Exec team would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.

A social media page has been set up for those who wish to pay tribute to Gerry. Please search Remembering Gerry McManus on Facebook to find out more.
